I'm an Armenian currently living in Lebanon teaching English and giving Spanish courses.I also speak Russian and a little Arabic.
I love teaching kids and creating worksheets!
My Favourite Teaching Quote is:
"I hear and I forget,
I see and I remember,
I do and I understand,
I think and I learn!"
I created this blog to share with the teaching materials, activities, worksheets and flashcards I have been creating to make the teaching-learning process enjoyable and fun!
Thank you for dropping by and I hope you enjoy my blog!
While "checkblogging" today I came across with a very interesting list of Teacher Phobias posted by JulesLynae at http://mrssullivans4thgraders.blogspot.com so had an idea to turn it into a poster and hang it up!
Thank you Jules for sharing with it!
P.S. I wonder how many of these phobias are you suffering from?:)
This is a fun END OF YEAR activity I made for my first graders to review and practise alphabet. It can be done during the last week of school or be given as summer homework. They are supposed to look at the picture and find its name in the word starting with the letter under the picture. There is one picture with every letter of the alphabet.
What I love about this worksheet that it is very engaging and can be done in pair work.
This is a fun BACK TO SCHOOL worksheet to review the objects we take to school helping the students remember where they actually belong to: 1.the school bag 2. the lunch box 3. the pencil case. SCHOOL OBJECTS -Categories
As an extension activity have the students add more words to the list above.
This is the poster of the chant I created to introduce the rules to my first graders on the first day of school when they just giggle hearing English.
In the course of the time we go into the routine of repeating it at the beginning of each lesson to have a smooth start of the lesson.Even during transition times when the children get too noisy I start counting and the children say the rules and by the time we get 10 they are supposed to be quiet and listening.
This is a simple worksheet to practice clothes+colors+4 patterns. This worksheet can be perfect for a fun activity just to check that the students can read the sentences and color the clothes and pattern them as desribed or can be given as an extra work for the quick finishers.
